Bharatpur Beach in Neil Island is one of the best beaches known for coral watching with vast sandy stretch. This beach is ideally recommended for youngsters because of activity options. This small island stands right across Port Blair, encompassing in a way the entire life of Andamans. The Island served as the Capital from 1858 till 1941, when the Japanese occupied it and converted it into a PoW site. The ruins of the Church and the Chief Commissioner's house among overcrowding vines and aerial roots are the most evocative of the remains.

It is about 25 minutes by ferry from Diglipur in North Andaman Islands (Andaman & Nicobar). Though these are commonly referred to as twin islands, they are actually a single island sperated by a sand bar which makes it appear like two seperate islands.

Located at a distance of around 15 Nautical Miles from the Wandoor Jetty, inside the Mahatma Gandhi National Park, the Island boasts of a beach of almost white sand and a mixture of both shallow and deep waters and is one of the most coveted spots for snorkelling enthusiasts, closer to Port Blair. The transparency of the water lets one see the beauty of the Pillar, Star, Brain & Fungia Corals. There are experienced guides to provide assistance for amateur snorkelers and provision of Glass Bottom Boats. Even those not proficient in swimming can enjoy in the shallow waters with ease.

It is owned by Forest department, is credited as one of the biggest and oldest saw mills all through Asia and is located at the north tip of Andaman. A bridge connects this saw mill to Port Blair. The mill, dating back to 1836, is a big store house for different varieties of wood including Marble, Padauk, Gurjan and Satin wood.

Cellular Jail, located at Port Blair, stood mute witness to the tortures meted out to the freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this jail. The jail, completed in the year 1906 acquired the name 'Cellular' because it is entirely made up of individual cells for the solitary confinement. It originally was a seven prolonged, puce-colored building with central-tower acting as its fulcrum and a massive structure comprising honeycomb like corridors. The building was subsequently damaged and presently three out of the seven prongs are intact.

Elephant beach also known as Hathi Tapu at Havelock is wonderful beach for snorkeling with rich coral reef and amazing marine life. One can visit Elephant Beach via a small boat by cruising through the dark blue sea. Elephant’s Beach was a pristine and untouched, it was like landing on such an island which is not inhabited by anyone. The under water sea life and corals were seen as clear as you see in pictures and portable aquarium. The snorkeling in this beach is the most memorable moments and life time experience for incoming tourist.

It is in the southernmost tip of south Andamans and is 25kms from Port Blair. The lush green mangroves and forests shelter numerous chirping birds. The sylvan sands and Munda Pahar Beaches make it an ideal picnic spot. Before the sunset, enjoy a swim at Munda Pahar Beach. The forest Guest House situated at the top of the hillock provides a fabulous view of isolated islands, submerged corals and breath-taking sunset.

North Bay Beach is just north of Port Blair.The beach and the snorkelling opportunities in its fringing coral reefs are the closest ones you will find to Port Blair, and therefore, it gets quite crowded. A ferry from Aberdeen Jetty at 9 am and 2pm will take you to North Bay. The corals at North Bay are rather good and spread over large area. you are very likely to spot many fish, or lobster or even calm and coral reef. Snacks and basic meals are available in some shacks on the beach.
